What should you wear? Clothes! No but seriously, we welcome everyone to come as they are. We will be a mixture of business and casual. For formal occasions like Holy Communion, we plan to wear business or formal attire but whatever you’re wearing, we’ll be glad to see you!
We have Children's Sunday School class every Sunday at 10 am. We will have Children's church available on Sundays for kids ages 3-12! Additionally, we will have a young adult's ministry (Project Lit)! Our Young Adults ministry team will curate various activities and programs for our ZCC youth throughout the year!
We believe that Jesus is the son of God and that God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, as a living sacrifice to save humanity from our sins. We believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross, was buried in a tomb, and that He rose in glory three days later. We believe that Jesus is now at the right hand of God the Father and that He will soon return for His bride which is us—the church. We believe that the only way to heaven is through Jesus and we believe in baptism and repentance. We also believe in the holy trinity which is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Lastly, we believe that God created everyone in His image and that He has a unique purpose and calling for us all.
WHAT MAKES ZCC A "COMMUNITY CHURCH"?
Great question! We are committed to continuing the 20-year legacy of community service at ZCC by focusing on the following 4 components:
I. Life-Application Preaching and Teaching (Aplikasyon Lavi na Predikasyon ak Ansèyman)
For far too long, Christians have gone to church learning how to “do church” but not how to do life. We are committed to preaching and teaching the word of God in such a way that individuals are able to apply it to their everyday lives. We want to make it our duty to preach the Scriptures in such a way that the teachings are relevant to the lives of our listeners. We believe that doing this will help build better marriages, stronger families, and will develop healthier Christians spiritually, mentally, and physically.
II. Small Life & Support Groups (Ti Gwoup Sipò)
One of the best ways to build community is through fellowship. The small life group gatherings will be a great way for members to connect, to support one another in the faith, and to socialize. Discussions and activities in these groups will be relevant and tremendously beneficial.
III. The Green Team (Ekip "Vèt" la)
The Green Team is our community beautification initiative where we go into various neighborhoods to pick up trash, plant trees, paint, and to install various other aesthetics.
IV. Community Pantry (Mange Pou Kominote a)
We are continuing the ZCC legacy of distributing food to members of the community on a weekly basis. Our goal is to further develop this initiative so that it is better organized and that there is always a fully plenished reservoir of food and canned goods for those in need!
